On February 12-13, 2024, the CTIP team conducted the Facilitator's Training with the BCAT-VAWC members from 12 partner barangays, namely Barangays 2-A, 76-A, 21-C, 22-C, 26-C, 31-D, 32-D, 37-D, Bago Aplaya, Maa, Matina Crossing, and Talomo Proper, held at the Shalom Centre, Bonifacio Street, Davao City.

The BCAT-VAWC members gained knowledge and skills on how to conduct an awareness-raising session using the salient features of R.A 11862 and R.A 11930. It was thoroughly discussed as well the Red Flags of Trafficking and OSAEC as well as the penalties and violations of the law, the referral pathway and hotline numbers specifically in the region. 

The BCAT-VAWC were taught on identifying their primary target audience and effectively reaching them to attend an awareness-raising session. Towards the end of the training, each participants underwent a simulation exercises to asses their skills. Based on their responses, they were all prepared to lead awareness-raising sessions in their local communities.
