Tambayan Center for Children’s Rights, Inc. successfully conducted two batches of Bajau parents for an educational study tour at the Davao Museum, providing participants with a meaningful opportunity to learn about history, culture, and identity.
For many participants, it was their first time visiting a museum. The activity introduced learners to interactive exhibits, local heritage, indigenous cultures, and important stories that shape the identity of the people of Davao and Mindanao.
The study tour aimed to broaden the parent’s learning experiences, strengthen appreciation for culture, and inspire curiosity beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Through initiatives like this, Tambayan seeks to ensure that marginalized Bajau parents are not excluded from enriching educational experiences that build confidence, belonging, and aspiration.
