The project’s culmination event was when the 12 project barangays had the chance to showcase their best strategies for countering trafficking in persons, online sexual abuse or exploitation of children, and violence against women and children in their own communities. Each of the 12 project barangays displayed their accomplishments and local ordinances against human trafficking and online sexual abuse or exploitation of children, together with the resources that each barangay established explicitly for this purpose and the actual benefits that have been received by trafficking-in-persons survivors.

Our partners from the Davao City government Department of Justice XI – IACAT ONSE PAGE, City Social Welfare and Development Office – Davao, DOLE XI Davao City Field Office, PNP – Davao City Police Office, PNP Police Regional Office 11, Integrated Gender and Development Division (IGDD) Davao, Special Office for Children’s Concerns, CHR-Region XI Davao, and Office of Councilor Trisha Ann Villafuerte supported this initiative and provided statements of support for Barangay Committees Against Trafficking – Violence Against Women and Children in order to counter trafficking in persons and online sexual abuse or exploitation of children in the 12 pilot barangays in Davao City.

This activity is supported by USAID Philippines in a partnership agreement with PDAP Strength CTIP.

Together, let’s #endhumantrafficking!
